Mexico. - Months ago it was wondered if devices like the Apple Watch could give a quick diagnosis of Coronavirus, now it could be a reality. Apple is working with researchers from the Seattle Flu Study and the University of Washington to evaluate how effective the detection of COVID 19 on an Apple Watch is.

This initiative begins with independent research by a group of scientists at Mount Sinai, who found that a Apple Watch can effectively predict a positive diagnosis of COVID 19 as early as one week before a PCR test is performed and the individual may have symptomatology.
This has reached the ears of Apple' s CEO and they have initiated a collaborative work at the hands of different associations and universities, such as the Seattle Flu Study and the University of Washington to determine if their flagship product can help in this global health emergency.
WANT A FREEAPPLE WATCH, IT'S VOLUNTARY.
As part of the joint work that Apple is doing with different instances, the company is generating a recruitment to test if an Apple Watch can diagnose COVID 19, giving all volunteers one completely free, the recruitment page mentions the following
"The goal of the study is to see if the information collected by the Apple Watch and iPhone can detect early signs of respiratory diseases such as COVID-19. If you are eligible and decide to participate, you will be provided with a smart watch to wear. The watch will collect information about your health and activity. You will also be asked to answer simple questions in the Apple Research app on your iPhone about respiratory symptoms and lifestyle on a weekly and monthly basis.
If you become ill during the study, you will be provided with a free nasal swab (swab to collect samples) to be tested for COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses, and you will be asked to take some additional health measurements using your Apple Watch."

The Apple Watch has become more than to measure the caloric burn of an exercise routine in a gym or Crossfit, and there are studies that indicate that thanks to these smart watches can diagnose early signs of cardiovascular diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
